This page exists so that one URL answers the questions a partner, a program reviewer or a cautious user asks before trusting a service: who runs this, where from, since when, and how do I reach them. Every value below is confirmed by the operator, and the same values are rendered on the about page from the same record, so the two pages cannot disagree. In one line: TempMails is operated by Samir Giri from India, launched in August 2026, and reachable at founder@tempmails.live.

What TempMails is

TempMails is a temporary email service. It issues a private, expiring receiving address without registration, so a visitor can receive a verification code, a download link or a one-off notification without giving a permanent address to the site that asks for it. Inbox access is bound to a browser cookie with a recovery token for another device, every inbox carries a visible countdown, and the address stops accepting mail when the countdown reaches zero.

It is a software product, in the Software & SaaS category, delivered as a website that works on desktop and mobile browsers without an app install.

Operating status

The service is live and actively maintained. Receiving, private inbox access, recovery, expiry and extension, plain-text outbound sending, and display advertising on public pages are all deployed. Since launch, the service has been subject to operator content updates and to the editorial corrections published on this site, which is the evidence of maintenance a reviewer can actually check: pages carry a revision date, and this page is regenerated from the same identity record as the rest of the site.

Assess it yourself

Rather than assert quality, this page points at what can be verified from outside:

  • The service works. Open the homepage and create an inbox; it is issued immediately and the countdown is visible.
  • The policies are real and specific. Read the privacy policy, terms and acceptable use policy. They describe the running application, including what is retained after expiry and which third-party infrastructure is involved.
  • The identity is consistent. The operator's name, country, launch date and contact address are the same in the page copy, in the structured data search engines read, and in the footer of the homepage.
  • The contact address is monitored. Write to the business contact and a person replies; there is no autoresponder in front of it.
  • What is planned is labelled as planned. The AI roadmap separates live capabilities from intended ones and states plainly that no message content is sent to an AI provider today.
  • The code is public. The service is open source under the MIT licence at github.com/samirpuri204/tempmails. The receiving pipeline, the cleanup job that deletes expired mail with its inbox, and the publishing pipeline behind this page can all be read directly rather than trusted.
