These terms set out what TempMails undertakes to do, what it does not, and the limits that apply when you use a temporary address. They are deliberately plain about what the service cannot promise, because most disappointment with temporary email comes from assuming a guarantee that was never there.
Intended use
TempMails provides temporary addresses for lawful short-term tasks. Receiving depends on an active inbox, working mail routing, and service availability. Sending short plain-text messages is available only when enabled by the operator and is rate-limited.
Sending requires abuse checks, including a security challenge where enforced, and recipient and content blocklists apply. Messages identify the sender as a temporary-address user through a branded footer and a display name such as *username via TempMails*, so a recipient can see the message came from a disposable address rather than from a personal mailbox. Reply-To points to the temporary address, so replies can arrive only while the inbox is still active — after that they have nowhere to land and no notification of failure is possible.
Use of the service is subject to availability, domain acceptance, message size limits, and abuse controls.
No permanent storage
Messages may be deleted at expiration, at your request, or to enforce acceptable use. The service is not designed for records you must retain, and it makes no commitment to keep any particular message available for any particular period beyond the countdown shown.
You are responsible for choosing an appropriate permanent address for important accounts. In particular, an account created using a temporary address will be unrecoverable once that address expires, because a password reset has nowhere to be sent. That outcome is a consequence of the design, not a fault in the service.
Availability and access
Delivery depends on external email systems and may be delayed or rejected. A sending organisation can refuse mail to a temporary domain, and it may do so without notifying either you or the operator. No delivery time is guaranteed.
Keep access and recovery credentials private, since possession of the recovery token is sufficient to read an inbox. Do not attempt to access another person's inbox or bypass service limits.
Acceptable use
Spam, harassment, impersonation, phishing, unsolicited bulk mail, and bypassing another service's rules are prohibited, along with the other conduct set out in the acceptable use policy, which forms part of these terms.
Enforcement
The operator may block senders, suspend inboxes, or shut down domains to prevent abuse. Actions may be taken without notice where the operator judges that abuse is ongoing, and they are usually applied at service level rather than aimed at a single message.
Limits of the service
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as it is. The operator does not warrant that any message will be delivered, that any address will be accepted by a particular website, that the service will be uninterrupted, or that an inbox will remain available for any specific duration. You are responsible for deciding whether a temporary address is appropriate for a given task, and the guidance on temporary email and how it works is offered to help you make that decision.
Changes
The service and these terms may change. Material changes to how the service operates should be read from the current version of this page and the privacy policy, which together describe the behaviour of the application as it stands rather than as it once was.
Operator and governing law
TempMails is operated by Samir Giri from India as an independently operated service, and the company page states that identity in full. These terms are governed by the laws of India, and a dispute that cannot be settled by writing to the operator is subject to the courts of India. Nothing in this section removes a right that the law of your own country of residence gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to the operator
If the service is transferred to a different operator, or the person or entity operating it changes, this page and the privacy policy will name the new operator before the change takes effect — a transfer is exactly the point at which a vague statement of who runs the service stops being acceptable.
